wiimote multitouch-like interaction

I found this awesome post through hackaday in my RSS feeds.

It's basically a way to use the wiimote infrared camera to track your finger's position in space. To do that, the fingers reflect the IR light coming from an IR led array, which stands right next to the wiimote.

The PC application they show in the video looks a lot like the various UI seen in the 'famous' multitouch screens videos from TED talks, Microsoft Surface or any random video on youtube.
