Yes, he did it again! Johnny Chung Lee, human computer interaction PhD student at CMU (that department at CMU rocks!) just showed a new wiimote trick, allowing the user to use a simple pen with an LED to draw on a projected (or not) screen or use it as a mouse. He places the wiimote away from the screen, and the infrared camera sees the LED when it turns on (i.e. when it touches the screen), and knows the position (you have to calibrate it first). Pretty awesome...
